According to Mariétou Coulibaly, Managing Director, Regional Consular Chamber Of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (CCR- UEMOA) during her speech at the Africa Spain Cooperation Summit on July 6th, 7th, and 8th, 2023 at Madrid (organized by One Africa Forums) : ” Africa is making great strides in strengthening an agreement that will unify trade across the continent. Taking the example of the European Union for certain aspects, the Africa free trade area intends to lay the foundations of a trade network that encourages trade throughout the continent. However, there is still a long way to go, but what is clear is that cooperation with foreign countries is vital to achieve the goals. It is there where the figure of Spain is decisive in order to boost the growth that Africa is experiencing and favor the evolution of the agreement. “
